How long past due will they let you to?

How long after your due date will they let you go? I am small and so was my mom was late. They let her go 10 days after her due date and she said it was awful and uncomfortable. She said they wouldn’t let that happens now days but I’ve heard otherwise...

no reason to force anything sooner than 42 weeks. 42 weeks is still considered term and not past due even with ACOG

My doctor will let you go 2 weeks past due. After that he requires an induction. He does offer voluntary inductions after 40 weeks, but that is just not my preference.

Depends on the doctor. My first doctor would have let me go 10 days late. This pregnancy, the doctor said no later than 5 days late but that was also because of certain things that occurred during my pregnancy.

12 days in the uk. It sucks big time I’m 37+5 and I’m so done, the fact that I could possibly still have a little over 4 weeks left instead of two has me like 😭.
I have not enjoyed being pregnant one bit. I haven’t even had a difficult pregnancy, just not being able to eat, drink what you want. Being uncomfortable, general aches and pains, tiredness, I feel fat and ugly. 
Nope I do not think pregnancy is beautiful, 9 months is far to long, I want a cat pregnancy that’s 9 weeks 😂😂😂 xx

My doctor with my first said they would not let me go past 41 weeks. A day after my due date I swelled up really badly and they had me come into l&d.; I almost had to have an emergency c-section because my sons heart rate was very high and not coming down. After finally getting it down they decided to induce me since I was there. I had him the next morning.

I was a really small baby, so they made my mom go 2 weeks after my due date....because I was so tiny

Depends where you are. 2 weeks is standard here in the UK (unless there’s other complications) 
My mom is just shy of 5 foot, tiny, and my brother was a huge baby (10lb) yet they let her go 2 weeks over due where she went into labour naturally. This was 30 odd years ago though. These days, they’d realise the baby’s size a bit better and probably induce earlier or arranged c section.
