Has your baby accidentally fell from the bed or couch?

My husband and I feel like shit
This is the 2nd time it’s happened. 
Our bed isn’t high off the ground but high enough to leave a bump on baby’s head 
Maybe we’re not fit for being parents 😞

You cannot watch baby every second of every day - it’s impossible. That being said, you can do things to reduce risk of injury, and if baby fell off your bed not once but twice, maybe you should look into baby proofing your bed (putting breathable rails on) or not putting baby on your bed.

It happens to all of us, if anyone tells you otherwise- they're lying!! lol
Just watch for signs of confusion or vomiting, otherwise it's highly likely your LO is fine!!! 
Just wait until they're trying to stand and how often they will topple over and hit their head on stuff. :P

Things happen. When I was a kid I was babysitting my little sister and she fell off a trampoline, biting down into her lip and bleeding... when I was a teen, I was chasing my niece around the house and she ran into the doorway, got a huge bump on her head. It was scary. You can’t prevent every single accident even if you have your eye on them....

Mine hasn’t. We always watch him if he’s on either. But they’re fast, can’t catch them every time. He’s almost fell a few times. But once he was at his grandmas she put him in his bumbo seat on the kitchen chair that swivels and he fell off. She had 4 kids herself was a sahm, and has 9+ grandchildren she’s helped take care of and babysat often. Even the most experienced people make mistakes. Baby’s will get hurt, it happens. We have all hardwood floors, but have a rug in the living room but can’t count how many times my son has fell back and hit his head on the hardwood still. He’s perfectly fine.

My SIL has this happen to her for the first time today with her 6 month old. It’s life. You’re not a mom if this hasn’t happened. It don’t make you a bad person.

We went for a whole year or more without it happening.. but he eventually fell off our bed twice in one week or so. Hasn’t happened since, thankfully. So glad our bed is low!!

It happens to everyone at one point or another. Mine literally flipped over my arm (I reached out to stop her falling sideways) and off the bed when she was 6 months old
