Anyone will or have had a c-section?

Hi y’all ... I have partial placenta previa and was scheduled for a c-section at my 37 weeks mark. Im a little bit bumped cause I wanted a vaginal so bad (like I had for me first child). Any here will or already had a csection? What’s your feeling about that?

So sorry to hear about your previa. How far along are you? Maybe it still has time to move? Thankfully I scraped by with a vaginal delivery with my first (60 hours of labor due to him being posterior and not engaging-if I had an OB instead of a midwife I think I wouldn’t been pushed into one), but if i ended up with one I planned for a gentle it family-centered cesarean. They lower the drape, or use a clear drape, so you can see your baby be born, do skin to skin in the OR and either leave the placenta/cord in tact for delayed cord clamping, or at minimum milk the cord which has shown a ton of benefits for baby. If you end up with a csection, I’d discuss that if you’re interested..it’s essentially less of a sterile/cold surgery “feel” and more warm and pleasant...

I’ve had two c-sections and will be having a third in November. My first was a c-section while I was already in labor and it was horrible and had a host of complications before, during, and after the surgery. My recovery was long and difficult. My second c-section was a breeze. It was scheduled and I was not in labor. It definitely went more smoothly with no complications and my recovery was quick and much better than my first. C-sections are no walk in the park, but they are so worth it if you and/or your baby are at risk. You’ll feel better within a few days and I was almost completely pain free within a week with my second daughter. Just keep getting up and moving in the days after surgery. I had a failed induction & emergency c section to deliver my son.
The first 3 days we rough, very painful & heavily medicated.
My suggestion is don’t have too many visitors. It gets overwhelming after major surgery.

It's super frustrating I'm not going to lie I was depressed because I could t care for my own child without someone else getting her for me, but After a week you will start feeling better also you will be SUPER itchy afterwards so ask for medication for that AND WALK WALK WALK, also take pain meds they will definitely help out and wear a c section recovery corset thing, you will feel like everything is being held in place !(: and have someone be there with you, my mom had to help me shower and change n brush my hair n stuff:/ and don't over do it !(:

After super long labour and over 14 hours on oxy I have dilated from 2 to 4 cm. My blood pressure was going crazy and then my son was going into distress. We ended up with a c-section. I was terrified but my team was amazing. My anesthesiologist was the best and kept me calm, talked to me, explained everything and chatted with me about medical tv shows 😂. Recovery for me was good. I got discharged home 36 hours after. 2 days later was out with my mom shopping. It took a while to stop hurting while I tried to wipe myself and getting off my tall king size bed wasn’t easy. Just take it slow and don’t overdo it! You’re strong and although this isn’t the ideal for many women whatever keeps you and the baby safe is the best!

I had a non-scheduled c section and it went well and I recovered quickly. Of course the wound hurts at the beginning and you need to take painkillers for a while. I have suffered emotional scars however as the section was not planned and I was hoping for a vaginal birth. After 8 hours the birth did not progress so I ended up in the operating theatre. I think for a scheduled section it is a bit easier for you as you can prepare for it. don't be scared of the surgery, it is not a scary thing to do. Sending hugs and wishing you a safe delivery!

My opinion is that no matter how it happens you'll have grown a baby and had that baby come out of you. I don't think it matters how the baby comes out.
