Wouldn’t you know if u had any std ?

Me and my friend were talking about her losing her virginity and after she lost it she got tested and came back positive for chlamydia.
I ask her if she felt different after she said yeah but didn’t go into detail about it itching or looking a type of way.
And it kinda scared me bc I only have one sexual partner and we use no condom but he says he gets tested regularly.
Anyways wouldn’t it be easy to tell if you had any std ?

They’re mostly asymptomatic, so no, a lot of the time you wouldn’t know unless you had routine testing or, fertility testing trying to find the cause of your infertility as an undiagnosed STD can cause you problems with conception and/or carrying a pregnancy.

I have 2 STDs with no symptoms HSV1 and HPV.  HSV is not included in routine STD test so I always thought I was clean till I asked to be tested.   there are many people that have chlamydia with no symptoms.
