Miscarriage is this normal??TMI

I am having a miscarriage a few days short of 6 weeks. My doctor said it should be similar to a regular period but maybe a little heavier. I started bleeding on Friday with cramps, nothing advil didnt take care of. Yesterday and today more bleeding no cramps. The bleeding has been pretty light compared to my usual AF. I usually get bad cramps and leak constantly. This has been pretty mild easily the lightest period Ive ever had. Is this normal?? Should i be concerned its not heavier. I have an ultrasound on Wednesday although I didn't think to ask why? I suppose its to make sure everything passed but I might still be bleading at that point.
