Infected?

I got my ears pierced recently and haven’t gotten around to changing my earrings as often as I would have liked to. I finally took them out today and found a much messier ear than this. It took me 10 minutes to build up the courage to take them out and this is what happened. I’m already a squeamish person; so when I saw my ears, I was ready to faint. Originally it looked like a zit and it was nasty and bleeding. So I popped it, washed it off with some antiseptic alcohol and boom. It’s cleaned up. But it still looks gross.. is it infected?
