I’m scared to take birth control

I’m 17 and me and my boyfriend have been having sex for a while now and I know going on B.C is something I need to do to be extra safe but I’m terrified 😅

I’m really scared/ nervous to take it because it’s something new and I don’t know how my body would react to it... sometimes I feel physically sick or uncomfortable thinking about it...

Is it just nerves ?😭
