No rocker in the nursery?

Question

So our nursery is super small. My mom gave us a free glider because they are outrageously expensive. Anyway it takes up way to much space in the room, we can't really get anything smaller because it's already as small as they get.

My husband and I are debating on just putting it in the living room... Which is on the same floor as our room and the nursery. My question is are we going to hate not having the chair in baby's room or does it really not make a difference?

I never had a chair in my sons room. He only used his room for sleeping and for storing extra toys. It wasn't until he was closer to 3 that was allowed to play in his room alone for an extended period of time while I ran around doing other things. If I fed him or rocked him it was in the living room.

I never had one in her room because you'll end up moving later anyways because they crawl and climb when they start growing. I kept it in our room or the living room.

It's fine. Ours has always been in my son's room, but he didn't sleep in that room until about 5 months so we always walked in there to use it.
