When did they start cervix checks?

I’m 32 weeks and I was expecting a cervix check at my last appointment but nothing 🤷🏼‍♀️ just curious when I should expect them. I have my 34 week appointment next Monday.

Some places won’t even check till about 38 weeks, as checking too early can irritate your cervix, my ob will start at 36 weeks as I asked them. You could always ask at your next appointment when they’ll check you

My doctor checked at 36 weeks because I was having cramps. She would have waited till 38 otherwise. It hurt like a mother fucker and I bled for 2 days afterwards.

I get it checked by ultrasound every other week starting at 13 weeks because I’m extremely high risk for pre term labor. Normally at my doctors it isn’t until 38 weeks though.

Mine started at 34 weeks because we had some issues and we were planning to get induced at 37 weeks but it seemed like baby was having other plans so she checked. I ended up back there at 35 weeks. Again at 36 because baby stopped moving and then a few days later when I was 36+3 i got induced because he stopped moving and my amniotic fluid wasn’t getting any better, it got worse.

38 weeks. And honestly dilation doesn't mean anything until you're in active labor unfortunately.

I think it depends on the.doctor. My first I never had a cervical check until I was at the hospital. I was at an appointment at 37 weeks and sent to the hospital to be induced due to pre eclampsia. We always knew I'd be induced just wasn't sure when so maybe thats why they didn't check me.
