Bacteria vaginosis (bv) ?

I’ve had bv quite a few times in my life and I take the medicine not the pills because they get me very sick but I take the gel medicine that you insert into your vagina. Usually by the second time of me taking the medicine the smell goes away, tonight will be the fifth night of me taking the medicine which it’s my last day of taking the medicine and I go to pee and I don’t smell anything but I wanted to make sure the smell was gone tho so I touched my vagina with my hand and smelt my hand and I still smell the bv on my hand. Has anyone still had the smell after taking the medicine for this long? Like I said before I’ve had bv several times in my life and the smell always goes away by the second time of me taking the medicine. So tonight will be the fifth time, has anyone still smelled it by the fifth time of taking the medicine ?
