Is left handed-ness less desirable? (See Description)

Va

So I just read this post on Glow and it struck me as very old-school to discuss being left handed as a ‘complication’ as though it results from trauma and advanced maternal age (two things sometimes tied to some statistics for development or genetic problems in babies).

As a left handed person myself, my mom told me how my grandmother used to try to get me to use my right hand by taking my spoon from my left and putting it in my right, because she believes right handed people were smarter or more successful. For the record my mother had me at 27, and said it was a very easy pregnancy and delivery; I have two right-handed sisters and one of them was a complicated pregnancy (but with no major issues in the end).

I do believe people can be right brain or left brain thinkers (personally I am in a creative field and that could be associated with right brain and left handedness), but I feel like this post makes it seem like one is ‘better’ then another? What do you think?
