Using primer with acne products?

Question

I always have acne products on my face. During the day (so under makeup) I use some tea tree oil and on top of that benzoyl peroxide (which is pasty) should and when do I use the primer? Sometimes my moisturizer/foundation with gloop up with the BP and I just brush it away. I’m wondering how primer would fit into all this.  (Oily acne prone skin)

I always moisturize. So with makeup it’s atleast 4 layers of face product. When where and should I even add primer?

You should always follow up any treatment products with a moisturizer. Think of it like this, when you scrape your knee, you put on Neosporin and cover it with a bandaid. Your acne products are like the Neosporin and your oil-free moisturizer is your bandaid. It should always be the last step in your skincare routine. That's going to be key for you as well- finding the divide between makeup and skincare. After you've done all your skincare steps for the day, go brush your teeth or make coffee and let everything sit for 5 minutes or so. This will give your layers time to dry and not pill up. The next step is applying a sunscreen  (benzoyl peroxide is brutal for Sun sensitivity) or using makeup with an spf. If you are more oily, I highly recommend the bare Minerals Mattifying Prep Gel. If you are more dry from the benzoyl, use a more silky primer like bare Minerals original primetime or Nyx's Angel Veil.
