Cymbalta and TTC?

Question

Anyone else on cymbalta and TTC?  My Dr just switched me,  but I haven't had the chance to talk to my Obgyn about it yet.  It's a class C, like Celexa [which they said was ok,  but didn't work]

Any help?  Please?

I feel so guilty being on meds to begin with and ttc, but I can't function without them.  :/

I'm on Cymbalta 60mg and my doctor said it would be fine to take while TTC and after I get pregnant.

They ended up switching me to prozac while ttc, and she ultimately wants me off everything when I get pregnant. Makes me nervous,  I've had depression, anxiety,  and panic disorder since I was 12.

I'm on cymbalta, adderall, and buspar, and my doctors all say it is ok.  I've done some research on my own as well, and I'm pretty sure cymbalta is not dangerous.  I will link here to the research once I find it again.  Good luck to you.

I take 60 mg of Cymbalta twice a day for depression and fibromyalgia pain. I'm still on all my psych meds while TTC because without them I have severe psychosis and get either very manic or very suicidal.

It is a balance, between symptoms in you and small side effects in the baby. Small increases in minor fetal abnormalities, a lung problem and a discontinuation syndrome, early labor, but not low weight are associated with all anti-depressants, but most babies are fine. Untreated depression is also associated with significant risks to the baby. It is a balance and being informed and deciding yourself what risks you want to take it the best way.

I'm staying on my Cymbalta while TTC. I take 60 mg twice a day, 40 mg of Geodon in the morning, 80 mg of Geodon at night, and 200 mg of Lamictal twice a day. Even with these meds I have suicidal ideation, I cut, and I hallucinate. I'm in the eighth month of a depressive episode currently, so we're taking a break from TTC, so I can get stable and so I can be able to take my Valium, which I can't take when TTC. I have PCOS and am 35, it may take years longer to get pregnant. If I go off my meds I have no doubt I'd kill myself.

My ob gave me the green light to TTC while in Cymbalta and gabapentin. 60mg cymbalta daily and 1800mg of gabapentin. Only change I’ve made is that I take a higher dose of folic acid due to the gabapentin.

I was on Cymbalta while TTC and was very open with my psychiatrist so we had a game plane. Once I knew I was pregnant, I weaned myself off of it within two weeks. After 12 weeks I started on a low dose of Zoloft. I did have a specialized ultrasound at 20 weeks because I was on the Cymbalta when TTC but the tech was surprised because it’s so slim to have any complications from it. My daughter is due any day now and has been healthy my entire pregnancy.

I am, my other doc gave it to me for constant back pain and anxiety.. I don't know how it will affect ttc :/
