Should I take both?

I was prescribed metformin today for my PCOS, but I've never taken it before and my Dr prescribed 850mg twice daily and I'm afraid that much starting out will make me ridiculously sick. Should I start with one pill daily for week one and then move on to both after the first week? help me😩😩

I would definitely just go with what the doctor says. You WILL have an awful time with side effects (tmi but I pooped myself the first time I took it. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂), but if you stay away from fatty foods and eat a somewhat healthy diet, it shouldn’t bother you too bad! I will say though, after almost 10 years with PCOS and numerous cysts rupturing, my first period on it was HORRENDOUS. Like, cramps and back aches just radiated through my entire body the entire first half of my period. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I found that much would make me feel sick. 
My doctor suggested taking one pill until my stomach settled then bump up the mg after a few weeks. I also find it’s best to have after my first mouthful of food.
