Mother in law

My mother in law has been pretty demanding during this pregnancy. She’s also been making it seem like she’s the only grandparent and she thinks she will be our future kids favorite (🙄)

Anyway. We found out the gender today and told everyone, everyone was happy and my mother in law responded with “ugh a boy, i wanted a girl” i haven’t replied yet because i can’t find a nice way to reply. I just want to be like “no one cares what you want, it’s not your kid. You’re just a grandparent” is she going to love my son any less because it’s not a girl??
