I wanna tell my boyfriend about. A previous sexual assault. I dont think  he will believe me. Not because he’s a douche but it happened over a year ago

I can tell you if he does not believe you he is not worth your time. When you tell him he should be supportive and talk to you about it when ever you want to talk about it and he should also listen. I was raped and melestated multiple times. I was with a guy who was abusive sexually, physically, mentally and verbally. He got me drunk one night and raped me. A few weeks later I found out I was prego. I now have a 1 year old and fiance who supports me and knows about my rapes and is very supportive of me when I bring it up or have nightmares or even flashbacks.

Hey hon I've been in the same position the first person I told about it was my ex and he didn't really think it was all that serious and thank god hes gone. He made me think it was my fault mostly and I felt so gross but I'm with my current boyfriend and he knows about it and takes sexual intimacy very seriously and makes sure I'm ok and helps me when I have flashbacks and nightmares and that's what you deserve to the other guy wasn't a "douche" but he thought it was no big deal or was a year later and no one deserves to feel like their story doesn't matter
