Planned induction...advice?
Hello ladies! Let me start off by saying that this is my 4th baby. I was induced with my first (not a planned induction) due to blood pressure issues. I had a planned induction with my 2nd at 39 weeks and was able to go into labor on my own at 38w with my 3rd. This time around, I have been having issues with mild preeclampsia and am seeing a high risk OB who said I won't be allowed to go over 37w. I know this may be a bit controversial but, does anyone have any ideas on how to help move things along as that date gets closer as to avoid pitocin and other interventions? I know it won't happen naturally until my body is ready but there has to be at least things that I can try...I only ask because pitocin takes things from 0 to 100 almost immediately and it makes it so that I can't really be in the moment of my labor and delivery. I have my babies naturally (no epidural) but only because the epidural will not take on me due to an old spinal injury. So natural pain management is essential but pitocin makes that almost impossible. Any insight or advice is much appreciated!
