I identify as asexual and most of my friends are some form of LGBT+ (mostly other asexuals followed by non gender-confirming followed by some gays). Of course, I’d like to hang out with them after school, but my parents don’t want to let me- they’re scared that they’re dangerous and will try to rape me or something (sigh), Especially my fellow asexuals (which makes... no... sense?). Anyways, it’s been pretty difficult, especially since they’re super liberal and open-minded about everything except for this. Any tips on how to change their minds or anything? I’m just getting really frustrated.
