Side effects of Nexplanon Implant

Hey everyone!

I was wondering if anyone is going through what I am. I’m 21 years old and I’ve been on Nexplanon for about 10 months but this past 2 months my anxiety has been getting worse and worse and I’m having depressive episodes as well. One minute I’m fine and the next I can be crying or angry.

My boyfriend also moved 3 states away from me and it’s been hard but honestly it’s not even me being sad that he’s gone anymore. I have my moments of sadness about him but this feels different. I’ve dealt with a bit of anxiety in the past but it’s never been on this level to the point where I don’t even want to get out of bed.

Has anyone else experienced this with the Implant?

Should I take it out and just get on the pill?

I’ve talked to a couple of my friends that have the implant and one of them is actually getting hers taken out because she was feeling the same thing I am.

Any advice is also appreciated!
