This Has Been Interesting...

So my husband and I have been TTC for about 3 months (I had my Nexplanon removed in March). I honestly expected this to be a lengthy experience because I have have been on birth control since I was 17 (I’m 31), and my cycles stopped about 3 years ago. I thought it was going to take some time for my body to adjust.

Well, I was cramping earlier this week, and I thought for sure my period was about to start. I had a First Response test that said it could test up 5 days before a missed period. I used it. Negative. (It was 2 days before my missed period). So I go to sushi with my cousin, complain to her and become such a negative downer about it...then I complain to my husband who tells me to quit jumping to conclusions. I gave up for the month. Totally go out for a beer with some friends.

Saturday morning, I’m feeling so yuck. Like I have come down with something. And at this point-I’m three days late. But I am blaming it on stress. My husband tells me to use the second test in the box...within 20 seconds, I get this...

I was shocked. And shaking. I ran into the kitchen (he’s making breakfast), and I’m like “Happy Father’s Day!!! I’m pregnant!” And he just stares at me, like I’m lying. And then he looks, and we are both just so giddy with excitement! I still can’t believe it. I’ve taken two more since then. Both positive! According to calculations, I’m about 4 weeks. :) Here is the other test.

Wish us luck! He’s scared but excited. I am just so ready! 😊
