How long after water has been broken did you give birth?

Today at 3pm I went in to be induced, after a few hour wait because they couldn't monitor a base line because baby was super active they finally got to the point of wanting to put balloons in, but they checked my cervix and I was already 2cm dilated! So I'm not at home and have to go back at 7am tomorrow morning to have my waters broken. 
How long after having your waters broken did you give birth?

My first ruptured on its own and it was 18 hours, I came in at 2cm. I had pitocin after 12hrs because I wasn’t progressing (stuck at 4cm), baby came 6hrs after pit started. I wasn’t in any pain until the pitocin started though. 
My second was an induction, I came in at 3cm. They broke my water at 5:30pm, I immediately had strong contractions but they didn’t really turn into anything. At 7pm they started my pitocin, I was still about 4cm. I flew from 4-10cm in 2.5 hours! Baby was born at 10:01pm. Would’ve been closer to 9:30 but I had to wait for an OB to push 😂
“Just” breaking your water may be enough or they may need to also use pitocin to keep things progressing. Either way, I wish you a speedy delivery!
