I’m 16, he’s 19... opinions?

We reconnected a year ago & I’ve known him basically my whole childhood. He graduated high school last year & I am a sophomore. My parents don’t know

I was 16 and my boyfriend was 25. We didn’t tell my parents until we knew how we felt. Like if it was going to work out. There’s no point in upsetting them if we weren’t going to stay together. So after about a month and a half, we told my parents. 
He was also my dads best friend and that affected us telling them as well. 
I’d say, wait until you know how real it is and then tell them. Plus 16 and 19 isn’t even that bad.
