Today’s my due date

I went to the dr today for ultrasound and non stress test. After that she did an exam and said I am 4 cm and 80% thinned. I’ve been having a few contractions every once in a while over the past week. But ever since she checked me I’ve been having them consistently for the past hour and a half. Do you think the exam just caused the contractions or am I actually going into labor? Maybe that’s a stupid question haha but I’m really unsure. And this is my third child 🤷🏼‍♀️😳
