Coming off the Depo shot

Hi ladies! I’ve been on the depo shot for about 2 years. I was supposed to get my last shot the beginning of April & we decided it was time to come off. I know everyone’s body is different, but I’m curious to what your experience was while coming off of it - how long did it take for you to get a normal period back? Did you spot a lot? For those of you who have gotten pregnant, how long did it take you to conceive & how long were you on the shot? Essentially, my husband and I are looking to get pregnant (I know it can take up to at least a year.) The issue is that I’ve been spotting (old, brown blood) pretty much every day since April obviously making it less likely to have sex (and therefor get pregnant.) TIA!!
