Do you think that weed is addictive?

My husband smokes weed every day. But he argues with me that it's not addictive. I personally think that's ridiculous. Of course it's addictive, if you smoke it every day🙄. And he pays a lot for it.

You can get addicted to anything.  Pot doesn't cause physical withdrawal symptoms, but it can be an addictive behavior.   Just as porn, or gambling, or video games can be addictive.

You don't get withdrawals from weed though so he could stop if he wanted to, he probably just doesn't see why he should. I've smoked weed for years and I can stop for months/years no problem. We all have an endocannabinoid system and Cannabis is beneficial for the body so you should smoke with him 😝

Even though he wont get withdrawals like an addiction, he probably is so accustumed to the feeling of being high that not being high would feel weird. My brother and sisters boyfriend are like this and idc if its not "addictive" its a shitty habit and people become dependent on it

The only addiction to weed is believing you're addicted. It is not addictive and everyone who smokes should take periodic breaks IMO.

I dont think the weed itself is addictive but i think getting high can be? If that makes sense. Like the feeling of getting stoned is so good the person wants that feeling more more so they carry on but the actual weed isnt addictive. Because i used to smoke daily and gave up one day and never had any problems, no withdrawal symptoms, no cravings. I just simply liked getting high!

I think certain people have more addictive personalities/ habits. He may not be an addict in the traditional sense but he may be over dependent on it to get through the day. Unfortunately, the only way to get someone to stop is for them to decide on their own that they want to change. Good luck! 🍀

It’s mentally addictive - you won’t get sick or die from not having it like alcohol (seriously, people think drugs are the worst but alcohol detoxing is no joke) or opioids but the action of smoking and the effects often become a ritual in your day.

I was a chronic cannabis smoker before I found out I was pregnant and I quit cold Turkey with no issues. I smoked every day for 6 years straight.

I don’t think it is physically addictive but I’ve noticed the people I know who smoke think they won’t be able to stop. they could, but they wouldn’t try. they think they need it. just my thoughts

its definitely habit forming but I wouldn't say addictive. my husband smoked for years everyday, multiple times a day and i noticed if he didn't he would get anxious, almost like he was a little kid with ADHD. the weed definitely calms him down and makes him more tolerable. he doesn't have a medical card even though I believe he should bc it really is like medicine for him. and ever since we found out i was expecting he doesn't really smoke, he just uses his vape pens (with THC in it) and its awesome. he doesn't stink anymore, he's saving money, and he's not technically "smoking" anything.
