When I had my son 4 years ago, I had a difficult birth and ended up with a 4th degree tear - major ouch! My recovery was really terrible and it took over year for things to start feeling “normal” down there.

I’m due with my second in October, and am curious if anyone had a similar tear with a previous baby and was able to delivery vaginally without major tearing issues? My doctor has given me the option of doing a c-section this time around, which is not my preference, but I’m also worried about how my poor reconstructed “lady parts” will handle another birth! I have an appointment with a specialist next month to do an evaluation and give her opinion, but I’m curious if there is anyone out there with a similar situation?
