There's a dark red bump on my vagina. I just now noticed it so I'm not sure how long it's been there, but- im going to call my doctor after this but this has scared the shit out of me- help?

UPDATE:: idk what happened but it must have popped on its own bc it's bleeding. Not excessively, but def bleeding

Looks like an ingrown hair. They can go away on their own. Happens to me sometimes when I shave. I just pop them and they go away. Probably not supposed to but hurts if I don’t.

Ingrown hair. DON'T POP IT. A hot compress will bring it to head. Ice will reduce inflammation. If you MUST pop it clean your fingers and the affected area with alcohol. Once finished clean with peroxide (alcohol will work also but that's gonna sting like a bitch) and put on some antibacterial ointment. Tight panties anf or tight pants exacerbate the problem. If you're freaking out it's never a bad idea to see your doc.

I've gotten several of those. I pop mine, but it's probably not a good idea. it will probably heal on its own. if it hurts a lot, try a hot washcloth. that usually works for me.
