What do you do when your kid bumps into something or bumps their head?
The reason I’m asking is I was just hanging out with a mommy “friend” and I was sitting on the floor with my 7 month old. My 7 month old is learning to crawl and rolled over and (lightly) bumped her head on the floor. She didn’t cry or anything. She just sat there for a second, rolled back onto her stomach, and went right back to trying to crawl.
When she bumped her head I was less then a foot away, but I didn’t pick her up and comfort her (even though she was fine), instead I waited to see how she reacted.
Well the other mom I was with told me that I’m terrible and should have picked her up immediately and that my daughter will think I don’t care about her.
I just said that she wasn’t hurt or I would have and left it at that.
