My cat has kidney disease and has recently been in a lot of pain. I will be saying goodbye to him tonight, after 16 years together. I’m completely devastated and can’t keep it together. I’m struggling with being confident that my decision is the right one. I know i need to help him because he can’t help himself, and seeing him in so much pain has destroyed me. But i can’t come to terms with the fact that i have to make that decision for him, and i keep second guessing myself that it’s not time. I can’t cope with the fact that in a couple hours, he will be gone..
