I'm in love with him, but he doesn't feel the same and not to mention were best friends

okay so I've like my best friend for about 5 months now and I told him today. He doesn't feel the same. But he still cares about me he says. I'm just upset, but not surprised. Just read and any advice or anything just to cheer me up would be greatly appreciated xoxo

ignore his profile pic, that's from when we were like 12 lol. we continued talking on and in about how we can't control our feelings and stuff, but how we'd still like to keep our friendship intact and stuff. Keep in mind we've been friends.for over a year and he know like everything about me and I know all about him too. But it'll be ok. I'm trying to feel better and all.
