What’s the best position to give birth?

I’m a long way from labor and delivery but just curious what position you gave birth in? And was that position easier over another way if you’ve had other children....

Squatting in the tub. Baby came out in 3 pushes as opposed to my first where I pushed for 3 hours on my back. Don't lay on your back!!!!

I planned on being on my hands a knees, but I ended up needing an epidural so I had to give birth while I was on my back. Majority of my labour even before my epi I had to be laying down because my legs kept giving out on me anyway lol

the hmongs give birth squatting or on their knees. most women give birth on their back. they say standing helps ease them out.

It’s honestly up to you and what feels right for your body. I get terrible back labour and wouldn’t be able to stand up to Squat the baby out.. also I find hands and knees tiring to labour in for too long. I’ve been semi reclined in my back both times for the pushing part and it’s worked well.

I read being on your hands and knees position helps reduce tearing. it's the position I planned on trying.

Both times I gave birth on my back once with an epidural the second was naturally, and if I have to deliver natural again when we decide for another baby I would probably prefer squatting since to get through my contractions it was the only position that felt the best and less painful
