Should the US decriminalize all drugs?

Rather than look at America's drug use as a legal problem, the idea would be to approach it as a public health crisis.

I used to think this was totally crazy but the more you think about it, I think the more it makes sense.

I believe it could help alleviate many problems including immigration, which is such a hot topic lately.

A prime example of why I think it could be more beneficial is America's Prohibition era. They tried to criminalize alcohol to no avail. It only resulted in the upflux in mob activity and people still found a way to drink. The exact same thing is happening with drug usage.

If drug using were decriminalized, it could also make it easier for an addict to seek help without the fear of incarceration.

*******Notice I said decriminalized and not legalized. There IS a difference between both of those terms. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, look it up!
