The name means high, noble, strong
With the nickname - Bree 
My hubby is Irish and I’m British so we want something that’s a little different without being crazy! 🇮🇪🇬🇧
What do you think about the name and which spelling would you pick?

My parents spelt it with pronouciation in mind, my A is capitalized so it's said like Anna not Ah-na. I would recommend if you want the nickname to be "Bree" and use that spelling then I would suggest using the one that is spelled with an e.

This may just be me, but I'm always a little stressed when I meet someone with this name. I never know whether to say it Bree-ANN-ah or Bree-AHN-na, so I ask and then I immediately forget which way they prefer, and then after that I just kind of avoid saying their name ever again. Sometimes I avoid the whole person.

I would pronounce each of these names differently (except for Brianna and Breanna, which I would pronounce the same way), so I think it depends on which pronunciation you're going for.

You could name her Breelyn which is my name! People call me Bree for short and I’m always getting compliments on my unique name!
