Which one gave you was easier to potty train?

I'm trying to potty train my 3 year old daughter but she will not. She refuses to go to the bathroom. My son was so much easier. I was just wondering if it is the same for other people with a boy and a girl.

My daughter pretty much potty trained herself at almost two, she started taking her diaper off and going to her training seat so I decided to put her in panties day and night and she is almost three and we have only had 1 night time accident and less than a handful of day time accidents. They will do it when they are ready!

I didn't vote, I think it depends on the child not the gender. My oldest daughter caught on to it in a week. We did the "3 days to potty training method" and she was accident free by 5 days. We did this when she was just under 3 due to a move and me having my second daughter, we didn't want any set backs from the busy life we had at the time.

My youngest we tried to potty train around 2-1/2 and she is now 3-1/2 and just caught on. We used the same method and everything. It just didn't click and I think it was because she just wasn't ready. I'm talking full blown accidents all the time, potty and poop. It was such a headache.

It took me a whole year to potty train my son. We ended up having to put him preschool a year late because of it.

I have a 2yr girl and shes being potty trained. Loves to pee in the potty but poop is a lil harder. Try rewarding him when he does go potty it helped for me.

I have 3. Boy, girl, boy. All back to back years. My boys were so hard to train! My daughter was a piece of cake and doesn't wet the bed at all. Both boys (5 and 7) still do occasionally. Sigh

I have a 3 year old son...trying to potty train but it's a struggle. He's autistic and nonverbal so that makes things especially difficult.

I only have one child, a boy. He was very difficult to potty train . We started when he turned three and he wanted nothing to do with it. It took almost a full year but now just after his fourth birthday he loves going potty and wearing big boy undies. I used the "3 day potty training program"  but it took a week. Lol

It took a long time for my brother. I think my mother said that she gave him something to play with while on the toilet so he would go. Maybe you could try that?

My son is just as difficult. I am just not pressuring him anymore about it. It was making me crazy.  We ended up going out of town for the last week and put him in his pull up diapers and didn't even bother him about going to the potty. Oddly enough the last 4 days he will come running up to me saying ," pee pee." And will voluntarily want to go on the potty. Not each time, but hey. I also when I get the opportunity just let him free ball it around the house so I can bring him to the potty. Some kids just take longer than others.
