Prenatal massage anyone?

Has any of you mommies got it. I'm scared. My husband surprised me with a day of "relaxation" but one of my friends just told me how she got one and it put her in labor or something like that, and told me to be careful.
Have you ladies got a massage and something bad happen. My husband paid a lot of money I don't want his money to go to waste but I don't want this lady to do something stupid to my body, I'm only 36wks. I got some time left. Lol

I get one monthly. I've been getting them since we first found out I was pregnant and I am now a little over halfway through. They're amazing. My massage therapist is wonderful. She actually uses hard pressure which I love, but only on my arms and back. If I could go more than once a month I would lol. Totally worth it.

I had one at 39 to try and bring on labor lol. My mother worked in Afghanistan and only had leave for two weeks so we tried everything. The therapist told me they're told during school not to mess with a pregnant woman's legs (mostly ankles and feet) beciase it can cause labor in some women. Didn't work for me but it felt AMAZING. I will be having a few throughout this pregnancy but I'm going to a place that specializes in pregnancy massages.

If the masseuse is trained in prenatal massage there shouldn't be a risk. I was miserably uncomfortable and having persistent tension headaches. My husband found a place for me and insisted I book a massage. I felt bad spending the money but OMG it was so worth it. I could finally sleep again and two days later my headache (that no safe medicine, not even prescription, could touch) was finally gone for good. It was so great that I bought another to be redeemed later.

My wife is a licensed massage therapist that specializes in prenatal massage. She gives them to me once a month. I don't think I could get through this without it! Just make sure the therapist is certified in prenatal massage and you'll be fine.

Prenatal massages are not harmful because the person who does this type of thing all the time, usually has you laying on your side or on your belly depending how far along are you.they usually massage mainly on the back and don't go anywhere near the baby spot. They usually take about roughly an hour.If you aren't sure take the time to ask questions. They will answer any questions. I hope this information helps.baby dust to you.

I had s friend who got them monthly and LOVED them. I went to her girl and hated it. I was so uncomfortable, got overheated and barely relaxed. I felt bad for the lady 😁 it just wasn't for me

I've gotten a massage every three weeks so far (I'm 38 weeks now) It was amazing and helped my sore body a lot! You just have to make sure the person is certified in prenatal massage. They know what can and cannot be done (like certain pressure points) even then, your body won't do much unless it's ready for labor. I was so hoping at my last massage something would have happened... Still pregnant though
