Nervous about money after baby comes?

Is anyone else nervous about income after the baby is born? Right now me and my husband are living comfortable, however I won't be able to go back to work full time due to lack of a babysitter and daycare is too expensive here and my husband is against it.  He says he knows we will be fine but it stresses me out. Going from 40 hours to 20 is scary! Any thoughts or advice?

We have it set right now where both my parter and I work full time jobs. I work mornings 6-2:30pm and he works 3/3:30-12am.  That way, one of us is always home with our 3year old. She used to be in daycare but pulled her out after an incident we didn't agree with. We've been on this routine for a year now and it works great for us. No you won't see each other that much unless you have the same days off (we have weekends off), but you know your child is in good hands and there is very little financial stress, and when you do have time together, you really cherish it. I plan to go back to work after this baby is born, but he wants me to stay home. But I rather not worry about finances and struggle every month and even though he says otherwise, I know it will be a lot of stress on him.

Does anyone know LEGIT ways to make income from home?

Maybe not right away but maybe after you settle down and get the new adjustments in life all done you could do some babysitting yourself or start learning how to knit or crochet and sell what you make, it won't be alot but it might help. I know that's all stuff you picture your grandma doing lol but my mom does it and she keeps getting requests for new things. Her friend makes baby clothes so that might cut back on clothing costs (hats, mittens, booties, dresses for girls, etc)

I'm going to find a waitressing job 12 weeks after our baby is born. And only work evenings. So that when my husband gets home from work he can watch her. And we don't have to pay for a sitter. And we will have a little more extra income to help out a little bit.

Yes. Me & my husband live very comfortably...but we just moved from Hawaii to California and the pay isn't the same here. I'm slightly stressing it but trying to relax and know we will be fine!

Trust your husband.  Mine will tell me something will be fine, and he always finds a way :)

It was hard for me at first, to let someone take care of things, I'm a planner and a doer. But it feels good to be able to rely on someone.

I feel the same way. We are comfortable right now but my wife is against anyone being there for our son but me so I'm quitting once baby is born. My wife makes good money but I'm terrified of going from two incomes to one.

I feel the same way. We still haven't figured out what we will do. I wish I lived closer to family so LO could stay with grandma.
