Gender neutral school uniforms
So I live in Australia and I think almost all schools (apart from some independent schools) have a school uniform. Boys wear a shirt and trousers or shorts and girls wear a dress or a skirt and blouse or polo shirt. I know since I was little I did not want to wear a skirt because it was not my style. As I grew bolder I became more and more self conscious in the skirt. So my question is should everyone, girls and boys, have the same uniform? Also if that can’t happen should you be able to choose whether you wear the boys uniform or the girls. I have a kid in my grade who by sex is a male but their gender is female and feels very uncomfortable in the boys uniform however they aren’t allowed to wear the other one. Anyway, please comment and discuss.
