Foot tattoo for my first?

Hey guys my first tattoo is tomorrow and I’m havinga pretty big design on my foot. Around 2 hours, I’m not gonna ask “does it hurt” cause obviously it will hurt, but can anyone describe the pain of a foot tattoo to me? I’ve bought some numbing cream I hope that helps too. Can anyone tell me how to apply the numbing cream and how long before?

I'm covered and my feet were the absolute worst, it came to a point where I had to physically hold my leg still because it was twitching so bad lol

for me I was fine until he got to my ankle then I almost kicked him in the face by accident because of the twitching and my foot was my first

Tattoos are different for each person who gets them. Pain tolerance varies for everyone. For instance, my very first tattoo was a quote completely down my spine. Everyone said it would hurt and I’d cry but it didn’t hurt

I think it depends what part of the foot. I didn’t think mine were that bad personally but I have an amazing pain tolerance. Ive never used numbing cream personally so idk about that maybe ask the shop. Some people describe the tattoo feeling like bacon grease splatter or as my friend with no pain tolerance says “a cat continuously scratching sunburn”. The worst part for me is always how itchy it gets while its healing.

I have a few tattoos and the foot was definitely the worst. I started shaking about half way through, and you can see one of the places where I moved and the line isn’t totally straight. I was holding my legs so tight that I broke a nail. The owner of the shop even came over and was telling me about how she has basically her whole body tattooed but wouldn’t do her feet because it was so bad. It’s not finished yet, I have to go back after I have my baby for the shading and that line down the middle will have to be made thicker because I messed it up. Heading was a little hard too, because it was hard to find shoes that wouldn’t rub on it.
