We just found out my baby has a heart condition. Her medicine gets rid of extra fluid in her body. But causes her weight to decrease. Today at an appointment they said i have to start nursing every two hours again. If that doesn’t help then i have to give her pumped milk after feedings and if that doesn’t work then add formula to pumped milk. I don’t want to at all but i want what’s best for her. And she really doesn’t like to take the bottle she barely does. What can i do? She stays on the breast 5-10 minutes normally only sometimes does the take both breasts and it’s never for long. And she falls asleep when eating and it’s hardsr to keep her awake during feedings now when she’s always tired because of her weak heart. I do let her sleep through the night now. Any ideas?
