Why do some women test a week later

Question

I don't understand why some women test a week later after getting a positive. Should I do the same? My pregnancy tests came out positive within seconds after only be a day late.

For reassurance that they are still pregnant. If you don't feel the need to, then you can save some money! Some people just like to watch the line come up :)

I took them because I wante to make sure I wasn't having a chemical pregnancy and I took the digital -week estimator tests- to make sure my hcg levels were rising.

I turned in to a testing addict with #3 because I mc in December and was paranoid seeing the lines made me feel alittle better until I could see my midwife x

I did it just because I love seeing that second line come up lol, I didn't retest with my first two though (but they weren't planned)
