Natural delivery at 17

So at 36+6 I had my 37 week appointment, I told my midwife about the terrible itching I've had since last Thursday, she made me get some blood work done and we found out I had Cholestasis, so she scheduled me to be induced the next day.

THE NEXT DAY

I was not prepared in the slightest😅

So I got myself mentally and emotionally prepared by scaring myself with dr.google.

I went to the hospital at 11 AM,

They checked me at and I was at 1 cm 50% effaced and I was having mild contractions on my own about 10 minutes apart already. They kept telling me this induction would take a looong time, at least two days.

They gave me three doses of ciotec over a course of twelve hours which made my cervix ripen but not dilate and brought my contractions closer together.

So at midnight I was dilated to "one and a wiggle" 70% effaced and negative one position.

So they gave me cervadil at around 2 AM, something to help me sleep and morphine for my contractions.

I fell asleep and woke up around 6 they checked me and I was at 4 cm and 90% effaced still at -1 position

I bounced on the ball until 8:00 and my contractions were getting worse all of the sudden, so I went on my hands and knees and had my mom push on my back. The nurse came in to get my vitals and saw how bad my contractions were getting and asked if I wanted to get in the shower, I said yes I wanted to get in the shower because the pain was really getting to me, so she started running the water for me and was gonna help me walk to the shower, when I stood up from the bed I felt something trickle from my leg.

I said " I think my water is leaking" and then

POP!

It just started poouurring

She checked it with one of those q-tips that then blue and confirmed it was my water, and then cleaned up the floor the whole time all I i kept asking the nurse if this is really happening. I was in shock, they told me this could take 3 days and it's only been less than a day!

So I go in the shower for about an hour, they check me again and I am 5 cm, 100% effaced and -3 position,so I go into the shower again for two hours, start feeling like I really need to poop so I ring for the nurse and start begging for the epidural, so she checks me and says "I think it's a little to late for that, you're at a 9!"

I'm at 9 cm! I went from 5 to 9 in one hour.

They put the squat bar on the bed and I squatted until I was at 10 cm and tried pushing while on the squat bar, I got him crowning but my feet hurt too bad to stay squatting so I laid back, as I laid back his head started coming out more and they let me push when my body felt like pushing for as long as I felt I needed to,

I pushed for 11 minutes and baby boy was here😌

Honestly it felt so much longer than 11 minutes, it felt like he was never gonna come out!

I have a small fissure near my urethra but that's it.

But he's here, he is healthy, happy and I couldn't be more in love.
