Period, maybe? Help

These last few days I’ve been having this brownish discharge and even when I would just go pee there’d be a brownish color on the toilet paper and sometimes on my panties. This happened a few hours ago before I went somewhere and had to change them. It kind of looks like blood. And today when I wipe there’s little blood. Could it just be a very light period? Or spotting? I’ve never experienced this before or had a light period so that’s why I’m unsure if that’s just what it is. I do have irregular periods and my last one was in April, a while back my doctor said I could possibly have pcos, could that be a contributing factor?
