No but they should help all the other missing children's family find out what happened to their children too. I don't think it's fair that the mccans have been treated alot different to anyone else. Something not right about this case in my mind

I’m torn. On one hand I completely agree that we shouldn’t just stop looking for missing children and that her family deserves closure. On the other hand I think that after this many years, those resources could be put to better use. There are so many missing children, and statistically children of color don’t get nearly as many resources or as much media attention as a white little girl like Madeline. And those families deserve closure too.

Yes, and instead fund searching for all missing children equally. It makes no sense that we spend so much money on one child when we could be saving others. Or maybe use the money to educate children and parents on keeping safe.

As others have said, it doesn't seem right for her case to use so much  funding when there are other cases that need it as well. It's very sad, but I'm certain if the government stopped funding it, private charities, volunteers, and donations would pitch in to help.

From what I’ve read, its not just that its focused on her. The police saw a pattern with child trafficking and they’re using this case with the goal of finding many more. Since she disappeared, theres been 30 more in Portugal. This shit happens a LOT. And it happens in every country.

I think they need to review all evidence and leads but if they run out of things to look into that's when it's time to stop. In this case, since public interest is fairly high they will likely have more leads (good or bad) to look into than if the case was not so public.
