Anti - depressant?

Question

Has anyone taken one with this pregnancy, or a previous pregnancy? Did it effect the baby? 
I have been on and off of them since I was a young teen and am having a hard time dealing with it myself right now.

I'm on Prozac. I was taking a higher dose but at my last apt my dr suggested lowering it because I'm getting closer to being due. Baby is perfectly fine and this anti depressant is one of the safest to take while pregnant.

This is such a huge topic. I took generic celexa during my first pregnancy and everything was fine. Now in my 2nd pregnancy I'm on generic Zoloft. There are small risks involved as with anything you take, even Tylenol. But you need to be mentally healthy for yourself and your baby.

They put me on Hydroxyzine for anxiety. Just make sure you keep your pcp and obgyn in the loop. An you can seek out counseling as another healthy outlet. Good luck!

Most of them are okay to take, in this situation your need outways any potential risk. A lot of people take them while pregnant and everything is fine. Most of them don't have any evidence of harm in human babies. Just talk to your doctor about it :) wish you the best of luck!

I take antidepressants I'm 10 weeks pregnant and doctor said it was fine. I also took them when I was pregnant with my 3 year old  xx

I was on Prozac but wiened off when I found out I was pregnant, but i could t handle it either.  We switched to Zoloft because that's what my Dr preferred.  I've since deliver and am 6 weeks pp, my baby is perfect and I haven't had any issues with pp depression.  Good luck!

I'm on 60mg Cymbalta. I have no plans to wean off as I know what damage it will do to myself. Healthy mind, healthy mama.

I'm on them they keep a close eye on you while your on them it don't harm the baby huni you will be fine
