Average child care cost?

I live in central Illinois and I know I differs from state to state, and how competitive they are, but can anyone tell me their average cost of one child under 1 year old to be in Daycare for five days a week? Just and average, also how did you new mommies handle the  cost changes?

In South Carolina we will be paying $165/week for daycare. It is really not a lot compared to some states and some parts of the country! We lucked out.

We live outside of DC, and we got a “cheap “ option of $950 per month. It is outrageous the amount that it costs for infant childcare, but it is about double that in this area to hire a nanny. 😓

I live two hours outside of New York city and paid $275 a week for an infant. my SIL closer to the city got quoted at around $800 a week at one facility. 
were about to have two in daycare and will be paying around $450 a week. we pay more in childcare than our mortgage! it's ridiculous but we can't make it on one salary alone.

In Boston, MA we paid $2,700 a month for an infant but now pay $2,300 for a toddler. I know its insane, it’s the average for Boston. When my second son starts daycare at 6 months, my oldest will be starting preschool, which drops to $2,100. Plus they give a %10 discount for two kids, so I guess that helps! 🤔

$260-300 a week here in middle Tennessee.  that's more than our mortgage!!  Fortunately I will be staying home so we won't have to pay that but child care costs are absolutely insane.

The daycare my daughter goes to in myrtle beach south carolina is 85 a week per child monday thru friday 7am to 5:30pm. Its the cheapest in the area without going to a sketchy at home daycare. Not saying that all at home ones are sketchy but the really cheap ones are. The most expensive ones around here are about 350/400 a week.
