Coming home outfit?

I live in the south so it’s going to be in the 90’s when I bring my little girl home. I was originally thinking of a cute romper but I realized she’s going from the hospital that has AC to our car that will also have AC. Should I just do a onesie with a pair of pants instead?

I’m still doing a romper but I’ll throw a blanket over the little guy if I feel he’s too cold.

Yes my doctor and nurses said dress baby in what you are wearing, plus one layer. It is so common that people over dress their babies and then they overheat. I am due in 2 weeks, with weather in the 90s already, so I have a cute onesie and bloomers, socks, and then a light blanket to go over her in the car seat. My doctor also said a good temperature for babies is about 69-70 degrees, so you can check your home thermostat and even try to regulate in the car.

My MIL is pressuring me to use a long sleeved and footed pj to bring our boy home in because she insists he'll be cold in this 80+ degree weather. Everything I read says most parents overdress especially in summer when they bring their infants home. I have a few options but most likely he'll go home in a short sleeved romper with hat and socks, and a blanket in case we need it. With the rear facing car seat he's not going to have A/C blasting on him.

I live in the south too and was worried about what to bring my baby girl home in. My cousin ended up fixing that for me without even knowing it lol. she got my daughter a dress with a little jacket. I figured if it got to cold i could slip that on her and just lay a thin recieving blabket across her legs.

Onesie and a muslin blanket.  Carseats are hot no matter what. 
Yaaaaaaay Texas. My first kid( June baby) spent her first 4 months or so in just a diaper or diaper and onesie, but those thin muslin blankets were the best thing since sliced bread.  She's a hot blooded little girl and would start sweating above 85, poor thing.
