Over the winter holidays, I went wedding dress shopping with my mom, and fell in love with the most beautiful dress. They took down my measurements, and had a dress ordered that would fit my body, and it came in! I was so excited, and when I flew up to visit family, I made an appointment to try on MY dress... and it wouldn’t zip! The lady embarrassed me a little, asking if I had my period (which I did), because she couldn’t get it to zip...

Total blow to my confidence, but also a total wake up call to stop eating like crap. I’m turning 26, and I’ve noticed a definite change in my metabolism (hangovers after 2 beers, bloating after eating out, etc)... so I’m officially going to start going to the gym at least every other day, and I’m planning to clean up my eating, which is easier since my fiancé is currently out to sea... aka, only have to cook for myself, and not as much take out or restaurant eating... but still!

I have a little under a year, so plenty of time for things to get better, but all of my happiness for trying on my own dress went out the window when I found out my dress didn’t fit 😭
