Did I miss my chance this month? Help!

Hi ladies, I’m brand new to OPKs. I’m on cycle day 15 (10 days after period) and I have long cycles (35-40 days) so I didn’t take my first opk until yesterday. It looked positive so my husband and I BDd today (twice) - but after the second BD I took another opk and it looks lighter than the one from yesterday :(  Did I miss my ovulation window?  Glow says I won’t ovulate for almost a week but I don’t know... help please!

You could have ovulated twice or not yet. I would just say have sex every other day until it’s negative for sure.

When it is positive the test line will be noticeably darker than the control line. Make sure to hold your urine for at least 4 hours before testing. I usually start my surge in the afternoons. Everyone is different: some women have a short surge that is hard to catch.

Update: Tested again this morning (NOT with FMU, as directed - actually with quite diluted urine) the line looks positive again!  What is happening!?

To add: Although now that I’m thinking of it - my urine was definitely more concentrated yesterday. I didn’t use FMU, as directed, but I hadn’t gone in a while. Whereas with today’s test, I had gone a couple times within an hour. So maybe that is why today’s line is a bit lighter?

First one definitely looks positive compared to bottom one. If you BD'd right after the first OPK your chances are still very good (highest probability during your cycle). Even if you BD the day after your positive OPK your chances are decent - you may have ovulated but there is still a chance the sperm will reach the egg in time since they are sitting there waiting.
