Pumping/Milk?

I gave birth 4 days ago and my milk came in today, I pumped 10 minutes each boob like my midwife said and I filled a whole bottle (150ml). My boobs still felt full though. Is this good though??

Why did your midwife tell you to pump? Are you breastfeeding or trying to exclusively pump?

Your milk definitely came in. Did you bottle feed that to the baby or are you nursing? Be careful about pumping too much if you are going to nurse or your body will think you have twins and oversupply will cause you a different set of issues. You will get engorged and you may have more milk in there, but the more you pump the more your body will make. You will be better off not pumping so much at once now and feeding or pumping more frequently to mimic how the baby will eat, that will help regulate your supply.

In the beginning I was always engorged until my body figured out how much my child actually needed to eat. It will go away.
