At what age did your child behave the least?

I’m taking “terrible twos” “terrible threes”..... my son is 4, almost 5 and i think now is the worst.

Age 3
I have 3 boys.
Age 2 they don’t know the rules or how to express themselves. My youngest is 2 and he throws some epic tantrums, but he’s just lost on how to express himself and he’s just getting a handle on what the rules are. 
Age 3 they test the boundaries on the rules they now know. I hate age 3. 
Age 4 and up have been wonderful.

Things went haywire after 1, and it’s taken till 5 to get better. It’s been a rough three years lol

Age three seems to be worse for my daughter. Everything is a fight and she thinks she knows how to do everything.

i think about 4 was when she was the worst. she has always been a good kid at least with her dad and i. she doesnt test her dad when it comes to doing as she is told. her mom was a whole other story and we know she misbehaved often with her. she did things with her mom that she wouldnt even dare do with us. she is still like that but not as bad as she was when she was younger. when she was 4 she had learned spitting and when she would get mad she would spit at people she did it to me and my MIL a few times and of course we handled the situation at that moment but when dad got home and heard what happened she knew she was in trouble for it. she also would throw things when she got mad but that was about the most we ever really had to deal with because like i said she never really was too bad with us.  when she was with her mom you would have thought she was possessed by a demon. she was full on tamtrums kicking screaming hitting spitting. we always knew when it happened because her mom would have to call my SO everytime otherwise she wouldnt stop and we had to go over often so he could talk to her because she wouldnt listen over the phone.

I don't have kids, but my parents have always said kids are easy. Teenagers are the harder years. In their experience grade 6 (around 12/13) was the worst year for girls-- lots of 'misbehaving', drama and disobedience. For all my brother's their worst year was grade 8 (about 14/15) when they were just terrors. Its a pretty common line I've heard from a lot of parents with grown kids, especially now since my friends are starting to have kids and their parents say things like 'the terrible twos are nothing compared to a 15 year old'.
